Email

Write an email once and send it again and again

Templates hold the subject, content and fields of the emails your site sends often. Functions send them by name and fill in the variables, like a customer name or a booking date.

What you get

  • Variables that fill themselves

Add variables such as customer_name with a label and a sample value, mark the ones that are required, and they are replaced on every send.

  • Preview and test first

See the email as HTML and as plain text with sample values, then use Send test to get a copy in your own inbox before customers do.

  • Marketing done right

Mark a template as a marketing email and an unsubscribe link is added automatically, while order and booking emails go out without one.

How it works

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Create a template

In Email, open Templates and click New template. Give it a title, a name in code and a subject.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Write the content

Write the HTML content and an optional plain text version, then add the variables the email needs with Add variable.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Send it

Pick it under Use a template when you write an email, or let a site function send it by name with the values filled in.
