Address and domain
Every old link still finds its page
What you get
Every redirect type
Permanent 301 and 308, temporary 302 and 307, 303, rewrites that keep the address, and 410 for pages you removed for good.
Rules for whole sections
Use * for everything inside a folder and :name for parts that change, like /blog/* to /news/:splat, and catch old links with parameters like ?p=123.
www and the free address included
Once your domain is connected, www and the free address send visitors to your main domain, keeping the exact page they asked for.
How it works
- 1
Step 1
Open Redirects
In the Studio, open Redirects from the menu and add a redirect, import a list from a spreadsheet or a _redirects file, or ask the AI in the chat.
- 2
Step 2
Choose where it goes
Enter the old address and the new one, pick the type and, if you need to, limit it to one domain or only to addresses that have no page.
- 3
Step 3
Test it and watch it work
Test any address to see where it lands before visitors do. Each redirect counts its uses, so you know which ones are still needed.
Frequently asked questions
No. Redirects apply from the next visit after you save them. On a website that is not published yet, they start working as soon as you publish it.
Use 301 when a page moved for good, so search engines pass its ranking to the new address. Use 302 for temporary changes, 307 or 308 when forms must keep sending their data, and 410 for pages that no longer exist.
Addresses ending in .html always go to their clean version. Once a domain is connected, www and the free address redirect to your main domain, and both switches stay on unless you turn them off in Settings.
