After you publish

Backups that happen on their own, for every site

Website saves versions as the AI edits the site and backs up the files and the database on a schedule, with nothing to switch on. When something goes wrong, you step back.

What you get

  • Restore only what you need

Bring back everything, or only the files, only the database or only the functions of a version. The current state is saved first, so a restore can be undone.

  • Files and database apart

Besides versions, Files and Database each keep their own backup history, with the size, the contents and the date each copy expires.

  • Full control on every plan

Backups run for every site on both plans. You restore and download them, make one with Back up now, and choose hourly or daily backups at the time you want.

How it works

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Open Backups

In Studio, open the Backups tab for the restore points. The backups of your files are under Backups in Files, and the backups of your data are under Backups in Database.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Pick a restore point

Sort the list newest or oldest first, open the menu of a version or a backup and choose Restore. For a version, pick Everything, Files only, Database only or Functions only.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Publish the result

A restored database is live right away. Restored files change the live site only after you publish again, so you can check them first.

Frequently asked questions

Open Backups, find the version by its date and choose Restore, then pick what to bring back. Restoring works on every plan, and the current state is saved as a version before anything changes.
